Letter from the Founders
For over a decade, I’ve traveled more than 2,000 miles to make birthday cakes for my niece, then her brother, and now the baby sister. A tradition born without a plan.
In that time, I also owned three small businesses across three states. Time was never on my side, but perspective and priorities always were. Despite exhaustion, I found just enough to catch a flight and create memories with the people I adore.
In these late nights—after a 4-hour flight and 2-hour time change—I find renewal. The soft kitchen light, the hum of a mixer, mixing a full rainbow from primary colors—it all makes sense. There’s peace in the process. In those swirls of butter, I rediscover the beauty of simplicity.
The sense of belonging in a sentimental space evokes happy memories meant to be shared. There’s no standard to meet; watching nostalgia come to life is a true gift. It’s here, in this sacred space, that SMöR Bake Standard was born.
What began as a solo journey—a way to stay close to the people I love—slowly became something more. After a year of reflection, I realized I didn’t need to go bigger to grow. The magic was in slowing down, staying local, and keeping things deeply personal.
And that’s where our paths fully merged.
As of 2025, SMöR is no longer a solo vision—it’s ours. My husband Cole and I are combining our professional backgrounds and shared values to build something that feels both deeply rooted and joyfully intentional. Together, we're creating a space where simplicity speaks, community matters, and growth is measured in meaningful moments.
